Where is ParaPsyCon III being held at?

ParaPsyCon III will be held at the Ohio State Reformatory, 100 Reformatory Rd, Mansfield, Ohio 44905



What are the dates and times of ParaPsyCon III?

ParaPsyCon III will be held on Saturday May 21st, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. and on Sunday May 22nd, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.



How much does it cost to get into ParaPsyCon III?

Admission into the Ohio State Reformatory gets you access to the ParaPsyCon. Here are the current admission prices: $25 (Adults 18 and up) $23 (Students 7-17) $23 (Seniors 55+) $23 (College ID/Military) $40 (ParaPsyCon Weekend Pass - Good for May 21 & May 22, 2022) FREE (Youth 6 and under)



Where do we park?

Enter the main drive through the gate and park in the asphalt lot on the right (East) side of the reformatory. If that lot is full you may park in the large grassy field adjacent to the parking lot. The parking lot on the left (West) side of the reformatory is for staff members and volunteers.



Will there be food availabe?

There will be a handful of food trucks on the reformatory grounds, plus there will be light snacks and drinks for sale in the Scofield Cafe, located on the 1st floor, East Admin across from the Museum Store.



Is there lodging available nearby?

There are several hotels in Mansield, including some on Rt. 13 at Interstate 71. There are also several hotels off Rt 30 in Ontario, OH and off Interstate 71& 250 in Ashland. All of these hotels are within 25 minutes from the reformatory.



Can I leave the building and re-enter without having to pay again?

Yes, as long as you have your wrist band on you will be able to exit the building to get some fresh air or a bite to eat, and then re-enter. It is imperative that you do not lose your wristband or else you risk having to pay again to enter the building.



Is there an age limit?

There are no age limits to enter the Ohio State Reformatory during the day events, however all guests must be at least 21 years of age for the VIP Meet n' Greet and 18 years of age for the Celebrity Ghost Hunt.



Is ParaPsyCon III handicapped accessible?

All areas of ParaPsyCon III (Central Guard Room, East Diagonal, Bullpen, West Cell Block, Speaker area) are handicapped accessible. Other areas of the Ohio State Reformatory are not handicapped accessible. If you require assistance, please see an OSR staff member or a ParaPsyCon staff member.



What does the paid admission into ParaPsyCon III/Ohio State Reformatory include?

Your paid admission during the weekend of ParaPsyCon III/Ohio State Reformatory include a self-guided tour of the Ohio State Reformatory, entry to all of the vendor areas, speaker area and the celebrities. Admission price DOES NOT include admission into the VIP Meet n' Greet, Chip Coffey's Gallery Reading, or the Celebrity Ghost Hunt.



I paid for one or more of the special events (VIP Meet n' Greet, Chip Coffey Gallery Reading, Celebrity Ghost Hunt) that occur during ParaPsyCon III. Do these include admission into the ParaPsyCon during the day?

Those special events DO NOT include admission during the day, unless you purchased the ParaPsyCon Premier Package.



Are pets allowed?

Service animals are welcome, companion animals are not. Please be aware for service animals that the building does contain lead paint and lead paint dust often ends up on the floor. You will need to wash your dog's paws immediately after leaving so that they do not ingest the paint flakes if they lick their paws. This is an Ohio State Reformatory guideline.



Celebrities

How can I meet the celebrities?

There are several ways during ParaPsyCon III where you can meet the celebrities. You can purchase tickets to the VIP Meet n' Greet, Chip Coffey's Gallery Reading, and/or the Celebrity Ghost Hunt. Or you can meet them during the day while they are at their tables.



Is there a cost to meet the celebrities?

If you are visiting during the day there is no additional cost to meet the celebrities.



Do the celebrities charge for autographs/photographs?

Each celebrity does charge for autographs and items they are selling such as books, DVDs, etc. They can also charge for photographs if they so desire. Each fee is determined by each celebrity. The celebrities keep 100% of the profits from these sales. Black Shamrock Events, Tri-C Ghost Hunters, and the Ohio State Reformatory have no input in what each celebrity charges and recieves no money from those sales.



Will the celebrities be there all day?

The celebrities will be at ParaPsyCon III on the following dates and times. Friday May 20th 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM... VIP Meet n' Greet (All celebrities) Saturday May 21st 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM... ParaPsyCon III Day 1 (All celebrities) 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM... Celebrity Ghost Hunt (All celebrities, except Chip Coffey) Sunday May 22nd 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM... ParaPsyCon III Day 2 (All celebrities, except Brian J. Cano) AS ALWAYS DURING THESE TYPE OF EVENTS CELEBRITIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

VIP Meet n' Greet

What is the VIP Meet n' Greet?

The VIP Meet n' Greet is a private get together where paying guests can mingle a chat with all of the celebrities and speakers. Appetizers, as well as a cash bar will be available. This event is for guests 21 and older.



When is the VIP Meet n' Greet?

The VIP Meet n' Greet will be held on Friday May 20th, 2022 from 7:00 PM unitl 9:00 PM. Guest registration begins at 6:30 PM.



Where will the VIP Meet n' Greet be held?

The VIP meet n' Greet will be held at the Holiday Inn Suites and Conference Center. 116 Park Ave W, Mansfield, OH 44902







How much are tickets to the VIP Meet n' Greet?

Tickets are $129 per person



Is there an age limit for the VIP Meet n' Greet?

The age limit for the VIP Meet n' Greet is 21. This is due to the alcohol that will be available.



Celebrity Ghost Hunt

What is the Celebrity Ghost Hunt?

The Celebrity Ghost Hunt is a ghost hunt inside the Ohio State Reformatory with the ParaPsyCon III celebrities.



When is the Celebrity Ghost Hunt?

The Celebrity Ghost Hunt will be held on Saturday May 21st, 2022 from 8:30 PM until 2:30 AM. Registration will be from 7:30 PM - 8:15 PM.



How much is the Celebrity Ghost Hunt?

Tickets to the Celebrity Ghost Hunt are $239 per person



Is there an age limit to attend the Celebrity Ghost Hunt?

All guests must be 18 years of age and older. This is an Ohio State Reformatory requirement.



Do I need equipment or ghost hunting experience to attend the Celebrity Ghost Hunt?

You do not need to bring any paranormal equipment. But you can bring small items like audio recorders, cameras, EMF detectors, and the like. Please do not bring anything that will interfere with other guests. It is strongly urged that you bring a flashlight. However headlamps are not recommended, as they tend to blind other guests and staff members. You need no experience to attend the Celebrity Ghost Hunt. The celebrities will be on hand for the first several hours to assist people and show you different techniques of investigating. Members of Tri-C Ghost Hunters will also be on hand throughout the night to assist guests.



What can I expect during the Celebrity Ghost Hunt?

Registration begins at 7:30 PM and ends at 8:15 PM. ALL guests must bring a valid photo ID and a signed Waiver of Liability form. We will hold onto your ID throughout the night and return it to you when you leave. This way we can keep track of who is still in the building. You do not need to bring a "ticket." We will check your photo ID with our printed master list. After registration we will go over the rules and then enter the prison. The Celebrity Ghost Hunt is divided into two parts. The first part starts at 8:30 PM and will end at 10:30 PM. For this portion guests will be divided into four groups of approximately 20 in each group. They will be led to four of the most active/haunted areas within the Ohio State Reformatory where the celebrities will be waiting. The celebrities will show each group techniques on investigations. Each group will spend approximately 20-25 mintes in each area. From 10:30 PM - 2:30 AM guests will be able to explore and investigate on their own. ALL guests must be out of the building by 2:30 AM. The celebrities will stay to at least 11:30 PM.



Which celebrities will be participating in the Celebrity Ghost Hunt?

The following celebrities will be participating in the Celebrity Ghost Hunt. Amy Bruni, Adam Berry, Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass, Marcus Harvey, Dave Schrader, Ben Hansen, Andrea Perron, Heather Taddy, Brian J. Cano, Christopher Saint Booth, & Mike Ricksecker. Chip Coffey may or may not participate. Celebrities are subject to change without notice.



Can we spend the whole night inside OSR?

No, all guests must vacant the building by 2:30 AM.
